"I should be thanking you." His eyes lit up. "Since you'll be leading the entire line, I think it's only fair you profit beyond a simple salary. Have you considered my partnership proposal?"
"I have, but I'm still undecided. My studio in Highrise City needs attention too."
"Of course. But designers can manage multiple ventures. If workload concerns you, I'll handle administration, payroll, HR, all the boring stuff. You focus purely on design." He leaned closer. "We can start small. Ten million startup capital. Five million euros for a fifty percent stake. With your current studio's revenue, it's not much of a gamble."
Before I could respond, Jean-Baptiste scoffed loudly.
"They're really betting everything on some nobody? That's desperation."
