Chapter 44
Liv’s POV
A pounding headache split my skull as I stirred, a dull ache radiating from behind my eyes.
I groaned, forcing myself upright, blinking against the harsh morning light streaming through the curtains.
My limbs felt sluggish, my mouth dry and tasting of regret. The night before was a blur with flashes of music, laughter, maybe a streetlight spinning past. And then… nothing.
I pressed my fingers to my temples, trying to massage some clarity into my thoughts.
What the hell happened?
My phone lay cracked on the nightstand, the screen lighting up with a flood of missed calls from Lara and Vio.
My stomach twisted with unease. Shoving aside the tangled sheets, I forced myself out of bed, wincing as my legs protested.
“I need coffee.” I muttered under my breath.
