Chapter 45
Aaron’s POV
I stood outside Liv’s parents apartment, the early morning chill nipping at my skin, but it didn’t bother me.
Nothing did, not when I had one purpose in mind. I had flowers in my hand—fresh ones, the kind you pick up early, right after the sun starts creeping over the horizon.
I’d had to leave the house at five a.m., wearing my best suit, hoping to catch her before she left. Every time I called or texted, I got nothing. So, I thought I’d do the old-fashioned thing. Show up.
I checked my watch for what felt like the hundredth time. It was nearing eight now, and I’d been standing out here for nearly an hour.
My patience was wearing thin. I was irritated with myself.
I should’ve been able to figure out where she’d gone. We had plans last night, but after she left… everything went off course.
Now, I was standing here like some lovesick idiot, praying to see her.
I ran my fingers through my hair, frustrated.
Viv kept calling and texting like the lunatic she was fast becoming.
