That evening, Elijah appeared outside Evan's apartment building once more.
Within five minutes, Giselle came down, occasionally glancing back with reddened eyes.
He watched silently, looking almost like a cruel stepmother intent on breaking up a young couple.
Felix nearly laughed out loud, but the intensity in Elijah's gaze made him shrink back immediately.
He said cautiously, "Please don't mind me."
