"Well, what did I say? Kidnapping him wasn't for nothing," Dexter said with a half-smirk, lazily spinning a notebook in his hand. "At the very least, I've got one more twisted little tale to add to my collection. And hey, your eyesight? You owe that to him, don't you?"
"You're sick!" Dylan, who's been silent all along, suddenly snapped. With a burst of rage, he lunged at Dexter.
Dexter's reaction was almost too quick to catch-he tilted slightly and effortlessly dodged. Dylan lost his balance and slammed into the edge of the coffee table, letting out a muffled groan as he clutched his stomach and dropped to the floor, wincing in pain.
The sudden chaos completely shattered Olivia's fragile nerves. The little girl broke into loud sobs.
Bellamy immediately turned and pulled Olivia into her arms, gently patting her back while whispering, "Shh, sweetheart, it's okay. Don't cry, don't be scared. It's alright."
