A sharp slap cracked through the air, landing squarely on Bellamy' face and cutting her off mid-sentence. Her head snapped to the side, the metallic tang of blood spreading across her tongue. "I always thought you were smart. Guess I was wrong," Dexter sneered, one hand tightening around her neck as he forced her to face him.
