I shook my head, rejecting the notion that Tracy or the werewolf grandmasters were to blame for my predicament. If anything, their meticulous care and diligence in monitoring my condition stemmed from their desire to ensure my safety. It would have been ungrateful and petty of me to shift any blame onto them, and I wasn’t about to make that mistake.
