I sank into the tub, naked, letting the warm water envelope my body. A satisfied sigh slipped past my lips—if not for the wandering hands that used scrubbing me as a thin excuse.
Still, I didn’t stop him. Instead, I leaned back against his chest, resting the weight of my head and body on him as the water rose to my neck.
“I don’t know why,” I said quietly, “but I feel anxious about our child. It feels like there’s something he isn’t telling us.”
