Scarlett My ears burned when I heard Faye giggle. It was annoying and it made me aware she had made her move. I remained at the back of the crowd patiently, covered beneath the awning of the stone veranda, with my arms crossed and eyes focused on what I came for. Alexander's voice rang out like a polished politician. More like the devil's son. “Welcome, Alpha Lucien,” he said proudly and calmly. I looked over at him and noticed the tension on his shoulders. So, he was scared, huh? All he did was show off in front of me and act all high and mighty. “And this is…” Lucien said with disgust. He didn't try to hide it. This was getting interesting. Let's see what he says now. He's probably going to lie that I died or broke my legs or something. Anything to cover up his ass. My mind blabbered with answers. “Faye, is my…” Alexander started but Lucien cut him off. Your what? Don't you dare say anything else or I'll rip those tongues off and feed them to the vultures. Don't you dare disgrace me!
