Chapter 52
Even though the table was full of seafood, Cassandra didn't have much of an appetite.
In the end, she quietly messaged Tristan, asking him not to order any more dishes. She also added that she would head home on her own after dinner.
When Tristan saw the message, he smiled helplessly. Was he someone she needed to keep hidden?
Most women would be eager to show off a capable husband and tell everyone they had such robust backing. Only Cassandra insisted on staying so low-key. But then again, that was precisely what made her different—what made him look at her in a different light.
After putting away her phone, Cassandra finally began to relax a little. Once the dinner was over, she said goodbye to everyone and took a taxi home.
By the time she got back, Tristan hadn't returned yet. He was still at his business dinner.
After taking a shower, Cassandra heard the front door open. She quickly threw on a jacket and came out.
"Mrs. Freeman, Mr. Freeman had too much to drink," Liam said
