Chapter 1011 Ice Cream
Tamara sighed. “Only a little.”
She turned to Sebastian and held his hand. “We’ve been separated for four years. Let’s make up for lost time during this month.”
They were to condense four years to a month.
Although cramming four years’ worth of time into a single month might seem impossible, it was enough for the couple.
Sebastian pecked her forehead and hummed.
Tamara snuggled against his chest and looked up at the stars. At this very moment, Tamara felt like the happiest woman alive.
…
The next day, the couple headed for their next destination.
This time, they will be taking a flight there.
They had planned to keep moving west for the next month. After a month was up, they would return to Clacton to start a new life.
They quickly arrived in a developed city. They were staying in a real hotel this time. Sebastian had reserved them a suite.
Just as they settled down, Tamara was eager to go out and explore the place.
This city had a very different vibe than Clacton. Tamara found the place to be endearing.
They made their way to a bridge. Dozens of heart-shaped lockets were chained against the railings on the bridge. Tamara turned to Sebastian. “Do you want to give it a go?”
Sebastian raised an eyebrow at her. He observed the railings. “These railings won’t make it past another ten years.”
Tamara sighed.
She silently mused, “Wow. You’re not exactly the romantic type, are you?”
Tamara ignored him and went to purchase a locket herself. She wrote their initials on it and chained it on the railings.
“Even if the railings break, we will still be tightly chained together. Nothing can ever come between us,” huffed Tamara.
Sebastian gave her a doting smile. To him, Tamara’s actions were childish and meaningless. But since it made her happy, who was he to stop her?
…
After two hours of exploration, Tamara’s legs were on the verge of collapsing. She took a seat on the bench by a lake and stared at the ice cream shop across the street. She turned to Sebastian and pleaded, “Can you buy me an ice cream?”
Sebastian glanced at the shop. “It’s unhealthy.”
“But I want one. I really, really want one,” whined Tamara.
Sebastian was weak to her pleas. He agreed reluctantly, “Fine. Wait for me here.”
“Okay!” Tamara grinned happily.
Sebastian went to buy the ice cream. Meanwhile, Tamara turned around to enjoy the scenery of the lake.
“Hello,” came an unfamiliar voice.
Tamara spun around and noticed a man smiling down at her.
“You’re beautiful. Can I get your number?” The man did not try to hide the lust he had for Tamara. This made her frown slightly.
She rejected, “My husband is just over there. You can ask for his permission when he returns.”
The man was taken aback. He didn’t know she was married, and judging by her tone, her husband must have meant a lot to her.
He shook his head. “This isn’t right. You should think for yourself. How about we practice it together? I’ll show you around town. I know a lot of good spots.”
He reached out a hand to grab Tamara.
Tamara quirked an eyebrow at him.
Hadn’t she made it clear that she wasn’t interested?
Did she have to spell it out for him?
Tamara’s brows knitted together. Just as she was about to walk away, an ice cream suddenly fell onto the man’s head.
The man yelped and cursed at the coldness. He turned around to find the culprit.
Sebastian crept closer. Although it was a sunny day, it wasn’t enough to melt the cold stare Sebastian was giving the man. “Fuck off.”
The man swallowed. He gave Sebastian a weak glare before turning to leave.
Tamara stared at the ice cream, and she felt bad for it.
