Chapter 1015 Danger
This caught Tamara’s attention. She wanted to know badly.
Jason wrote, “What happened?”
Jordan replied, “I have no idea.”
Joseph’s text wrote, “Sob…”
Jayden merely sent a smiling emoji.
Tamara stared at the screen blankly as she processed the conversation.
It seemed like Joseph was the only one who knew what had happened, and Jayden seemed to be keeping his mouth in check.
Tamara gave Joseph a call.
“Haha…I knew you would call me. You have always been a busybody,” laughed Joseph.
Tamara ignored him. “Spill the tea.”
Joseph muttered slyly, “I have promised Jay I would keep this a secret. Of course, he is also keeping his end of the deal. You must give me a better offer if you’re truly curious.”
“Then, forget it,” Tamara said, shrugging. “Since you made a promise to Jay about keeping this a secret, who am I to come between that? You have to keep your promises, Joseph.”
Joseph was taken aback. “What?”
This wasn’t how he had pictured it.
He was merely teasing Tamara with his word. Yet she was telling him to keep it a secret?
How could he keep this to himself? It was torturous.
“Hey! Give it a thought, Tammy! It’s not like Jay gave me a good bargain…” Joseph grew anxious.
Tamara giggled and said, “It’s fine, Joseph. You can keep the secret. I’m tired. Goodnight.”
“Wait! It’s just…Jay got into a fight with Simon that day,” blurted Joseph. He couldn’t keep the secret any longer.
“Sigh…I finally said it.” Joseph let out a sigh of relief.
“What?” Tamara thought her ears were playing tricks on her.
Joseph hummed, “Didn’t you use your scented tea leaves on Camilla? Simon was acting weird about it. He even stopped Jay from taking Camilla away. The two of them got into an argument. When I walked in to check up on them, I saw Jay swinging at Simon. I have never seen Jay lose his marbles like that.”
Tamara was surprised. She tried her best to imagine the scenario but came up blank.
Jayden had always been gentle and polite. What did Simon say to piss him off?
“There’s that,” said Joseph, sighing. “Come home and find out the truth for yourself. I have another call coming in. Bye.”
“Bye.” Tamara put down the phone and stared blankly into the distance.
She still had a hard time imagining it.
She mused, “Oh my…It seems like Jay was in too deep. But why was he always acting cool around Camilla? What a weird man.”
Tamara was confused. She stared at her phone and debated if she should ask Camilla about it. But she didn’t want to make things complicated by asking about it.
Judging from Joseph’s words, Simon seemed to be pissed about her using the scented tea leaves on Camilla.
She thought that Simon was a strange one.
Still, Tamara found herself liking Simon more because of this.
Tamara scrolled through her phone. She recalled her wedding day. Maybe she should have stayed a little longer with Sebastian to observe the city’s reactions.
It was a pity that she had missed out on an excellent spectacle.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
Tamara snapped out of her thoughts. It must be her delivery. She suddenly regretted buying all those clothes.
She should have thought it through.
Tamara made her way over to the door. Outside, two men were holding a bunch of shopping bags in their hands.
“Are you Mrs. Lynch?” asked one of the men.
“Yes,” said Tamara, nodding. She moved out of the way. “Come on in.”
The two men nodded and walked past her. Suddenly, she held her breath in alarm, but it was too late. Her vision faded, and Tamara blacked out.
