Chapter 1022 When Did You Fall for Me?
Tamara felt speechless.
She saw how serious Sebastian looked and sighed. “I’ll stop talking to her.”
Sebastian hummed in approval. The corners of his lips quirked up as well. It was apparent he was satisfied with Tamara’s answer.
Tamara sat on the swing again. This time, Sebastian was there to push her off the ground. Tamara giggled happily.
After the sun sank beneath the horizon, the couple visited the nearby beach.
They had decided to stay near the beach again. When night fell, the sea sparkled with some luminescent microorganisms.
This was the first time Tamara had seen anything like this. Her eyes widened in curiosity, and she bent down to scoop some water with her hand. It was beautiful!
Sebastian chuckled at her cute expression. The couple enjoyed the night air together.
There was a small cliff not far from them. The waves crashed into it over and over again.
The couple climbed up the cliff and sat down to stare into the night.
“I’ve been thinking about the past, Sebastian,” whispered Tamara. She leaned her head against his shoulders.
“Why?” hummed Sebastian, “What were you thinking about?”
“I was thinking about back when we first met.” Tamara sighed and continued, “Back then, the both of us couldn’t stand each other at all. I even wrote up a divorce paper.”
Sebastian chuckled, “So you fell for my charms.”
“Hey!” Tamara hit him lightly. “You were the one who fell with me first. I still remember back when I was trying to settle Quentin’s debt, you insisted on coming along with me. We even stayed in the same hotel. What was the excuse you gave? It was something along the lines of it being a famous hotel.”
Tamara giggled and added, “You were such a bad liar.”
Sebastian held her hand. “I didn’t mean to, but you were shrouded in mystery, and I couldn’t help but grow curious about you.”
“So, curiosity not only killed the cat but also your cold heart.” Tamara glanced up at him.
Sebastian shook his head in denial. “No. Curiosity made me fall for you.”
He wasn’t shy in declaring his love for Tamara.
Tamara was surprised by his passionate confession. She shifted her gaze away. “Hey, tell me. When did you fall for me?”
Sebastian chuckled and asked, “Was this your intention all along?”
Tamara huffed stubbornly. “Just answer the question.”
Sebastian squeezed her hand. “What about you?”
Tamara gave it a thought. “From the moment you first saved me, my opinion of you changed. When you followed me to Rastone and visited my mother’s grave, you declared your love for me then. I think that was when I fell for you.”
Tamara finally came clean.
People said love was like a game of chess.
The first one to confess their move was the one who lost.
But Tamara thought otherwise. She believed that if one loved someone, they should declare their love bravely.
If the other person reciprocated their love, then their courage was rewarded.
But if the other person didn’t share the same sentiment, at least the person who had confessed wouldn’t have any regrets.
At the very least, she had done everything she could.
Sebastian’s gaze landed on Tamara’s face before he answered, “From the moment I first met you.”
