Chapter 1031 A Ritual to Kiss Before Eating
Tamara felt disturbed by Sebastian’s smile.
“What are you doing?” Tamara whined softly, and she let go of him. “The food’s almost burnt. Stop bothering me.”
Sebastian hummed, “Okay.”
He returned to the living room with no intention of bothering her again.
Tamara strained to listen to his footsteps. After ensuring he wasn’t coming back in, she silently sighed in relief.
She stared at the salt shaker in hesitation. After giving it another thought, she decided to see through her plan and poured a lot of salt into the food.
She really hoped her suspicion was just paranoia.
…
An hour later.
“The food’s ready!” Tamara brought the food into the dining hall and smiled at Sebastian.
Sebastian immediately came over to help carry the plates.
Tamara had cooked up a lot of food.
Sebastian couldn’t help but complimented Tamara when he saw the dishes. “I never knew you had it in you.”
Tamara huffed proudly. “You’d better keep a close eye on me. A beautiful and skilled woman like me would surely attract a lot of attention.”
Sebastian hummed seriously, “I will make sure to keep you within arm’s length. If I could, I would strap you to my side at all times.”
Tamara giggled and sat down. “Let’s eat.”
Sebastian slid into the chair beside her.
Tamara urged him on, “Go on. Tell me how it tastes.”
Sebastian gave her a glance before leaning in to kiss her.
Tamara dodged his attempt. “Stop fooling around and eat!”
Sebastian cocked an eyebrow. “Isn’t this our ritual?”
He didn’t understand why Tamara didn’t want to kiss him.
“No. Let’s kiss after the meal.” Tamara was stubborn.
Something flashed across Sebastian’s eyes. He shrugged it off. “Fine.”
He bit into his food. His face was void of any emotion as he mechanically chewed.
Tamara blinked her eyes. “How does it taste?”
She had made sure to make the food as salty as she could. She had even almost puked when she tried it earlier.
Sebastian stared at Tamara and slowly put down his spoon. “Tammy, can’t we just have a peaceful honeymoon?”
Tamara’s heart dropped.
Her suspicion…
“It’s not a big deal. I don’t want it to come between our relationship,” sighed Sebastian helplessly.
Tamara’s long eyelashes trembled. “You… can’t taste it?”
Sebastian sighed and shook his head. “Not at all.”
Tamara sucked in a deep breath.
Sebastian went to hold her hand, but she quickly shoved him away. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
The man groaned, “It’s not that big of a deal. Also, I have found a solution to it.”
“And what’s that?” asked Tamara unconsciously.
But she suddenly had a thought.
It was a ritual for them to share a kiss before every meal.
Did he regain his sense of taste after kissing her?
Tamara didn’t know how to react to this. “Why do you have such a weird disease?”
Sebastian shrugged. “I can only taste the food you cook. It temporarily restores my sense of taste, like the meal you prepared today.”
The man furrowed his brows at the food. “It’s…really salty.”
