Chapter 1034 Another Island

Several cars were parked outside the villa, and Sebastian and Tamara were escorted into different vehicles. Alice followed Tamara into her car and sat opposite her. She had her gun aimed at Tamara’s chest. Tamara’s beautiful face was void of any emotions. She glanced at the gun briefly and muttered, “I’m all tied up. So, why are you still pointing your gun at me? Aren’t you afraid it might just go off? If that happens, not only would you lose your chance at getting the ten billion dollars, but you might also lose your life.” Alice furrowed her brows at Tamara. “That will never happen.” “Oh my. Someone’s confident,” huffed Tamara. Alice remained silent. Tamara hummed and closed her eyes. She wanted to get some sleep in. “I’m curious. You don’t seem to be afraid in the slightest. Shouldn’t rich folks like you be crying and begging for your life by now?” Alice had been observing Tamara closely. Not once had she witnessed a trace of nervousness or fear on Tamara’s face. She was curious as to why. “Looks like you haven’t done your research,” muttered Tamara faintly, her eyes still closed. Alice snickered, “I don’t need to do that. All I need to know is how rich you are.” Tamara didn’t reply. The car drove for another hour before coming to a stop. “Get off,” ordered Alice. Tamara woke up and saw that they were at a port. There was a single ship waiting for them. Under the night sky, the ship looked big and imposing. It was like a beast waiting to pounce on its prey. The corners of Tamara’s mouth twitched. She gave Alice a blank look. “Please don’t tell me you’re bringing us to some island.” Alice narrowed her eyes in alarm. “How did you know?” Tamara sighed inwardly. “Why do these people like operating on islands that much? Isn’t it troublesome?” Tamara lamented inwardly. Alice grabbed Tamara’s shoulders harshly. “Tell me! How did you know?” Tamara furrowed her brows at her. “I’ve been to too many islands. It’s as simple as that.” Alice looked at Tamara in suspicion. It was obvious she didn’t believe Tamara. But with how things were going, she had to see it through and bring the couple to the island as soon as possible. “Take them away!” ordered Alice. Her men immediately dragged the couple on board. The couple finally met again. They stared longingly at each other like love-sick fools. However, they were quickly separated again. On board the ship, the couple was put into different rooms. Alice’s men would keep watch over Sebastian while Alice had Tamara all to herself. “A room all for me? You’re making me blush.” Tamara grinned mockingly at Alice. Alice put her gun away. She felt it was pointless since they were already on the ship. Alice observed Tamara for a moment before she suddenly sneered, “I have been observing you on our way here. What’s so special about you? Why is the president of Custry Corporation so in love with you?” Tamara could feel the shift in the air. Alice continued, “A successful man like him deserves an extraordinary woman, and you are not it.” Tamara fought back the urge to smile. As she thought, Alice was in it for the money!
