Chapter 1759 Heart in a Turmoil

A gentle breeze rustled the white curtains, causing them to sway gently. Papers on the dark wooden desk scattered to the floor as two figures entangled, sharing a passionate kiss. After that … Tamara quickly closed her eyes, refusing to let her mind wander in that direction. Right now, she wanted nothing more than to leave this place. Not for any other reason but because this manor brought forth many unsavory scenes. Sebastian looked at her in amusement. Seeing her reaction, he seemed to recall something, and his eyes darkened suddenly. Tamara stood up abruptly. "I can agree with you, but we must change the location. I don't want to be here." Sebastian stared at her. "Alright." She was also willing to make the effort to avoid accidentally triggering any memories. A hint of bitterness washed over him, but Sebastian quickly suppressed those emotions. Tamara headed toward the door. Sebastian stood up and followed her. He asked calmly, "So, are we now officially a couple?" He was casual with his question, and his tone was remarkably nonchalant. Yet, for some reason, Tamara detected a hint of probing and caution in his words. Tamara's breath hitched for a moment, and she nodded as if nothing was amiss. "Yes." "Do I get any perks as your boyfriend?" The man behind her spoke again. This time, his voice had grown huskier. Tamara furrowed her brows and turned to ask, "What perks ..." Before she could finish her sentence, Sebastian reached out and pressed his hand on her shoulder. He pushed her against the door, and his cool scent enveloped her before his warm lips met hers. Tamara's eyes widened, and she attempted to push him away. Sebastian didn't force her and allowed her to push him away. There was a small smile playing on his lips. "This is enough." Tamara's heart tightened once more, and she escaped the study in a hurry. She found herself cursing at her own impulsiveness. Why had she agreed to his request in the heat of the moment? She rushed down the stairs and saw Ms. Thompson passing by. Tamara halted in her steps. Ms. Thompson immediately asked, "What's wrong, Ms. Simmons?" Tamara couldn't bring herself to act aloof in front of Ms. Thompson's gentle smile. She said stiffly, "We ... we're going out for dinner." Ms. Thompson's smile grew even wider. "Alright, then I'll tell the chef not to prepare dinner. Safe journey, Ms. Thompson, Young Mr. Lynch!" Tamara left the manor in a hurry while Sebastian casually followed behind her. It wasn't until she got into her car that he approached and knocked on her car window. Tamara rolled down the window and said calmly, "Get in." Sebastian cocked an eyebrow. "Are we going on a date?" Tamara fell silent and gave Sebastian a blank look. "I never knew you were a romantic." Sebastian wasn't angered by her. Instead, he smiled even more wickedly and said in a low voice, "No, you knew a long time ago. You just didn't want to admit it." Tamara clicked her tongue. "Get in. I'll take back my words if you don't." Sebastian raised an eyebrow and opened the passenger seat's door before getting in. Once Sebastian put on his seatbelt, Tamara started the car and quickly drove away from this place that had left her heart in turmoil. Sebastian glanced outside Sambia Hotel and turned to give her a weird smile. "So you remember this place." Tamara furrowed her brows. "What?" Sebastian's eyes darkened as he gazed at her. "In our dream, this is where we first met."
