Tamara’s lips twitched as she glanced over at Benjamin. “Mr, Inkling, would you like an apology?” Benjamin replied, “No.” Kayla was rendered speechless. Her cheeks burned hot as she glared at Benjamin in displeasure. He grabbed her hand and continued, “It’s not a big deal. I’m glad that everyone had fun.” With that, he seemed to have lowered his status. He made it sound as if he was no one of importance or influence to Kayla. Everyone turned to look at Benjamin with amusement in their eyes. Tamara smirked mockingly. “How generous of you, Mr. Inkling. You should really learn a thing or two from him.” Kayla’s expression darkened even more after hearing the last part. Tamara walked out of the private room without lingering. After leaving, her expression immediately turned cold. She didn’t feel like it was enough. Benjamin was too despicable, and this punishment was too light for him. However, Margot was upstairs by herself. Tamara didn’t want to leave her for long. Just as Tamara left Joker’s Clubhouse, someone had informed Joanne of her whereabouts. Joker’s Clubhouse was owned by Custry Corporation, after all. Joanne hurried to the club. “You said you spotted Tamara?” Joanne looked at the manager coldly. The manager nodded. “Yes, I did. I’m certain that it’s her. Miss Custry, what should we do now?” Joanne sneered. “Find out what she’s doing here and let me know at once.” The manager nodded. “I understand, Miss Custry.” Joanne took a seat at the bar counter and ordered a drink to savor. She had a feeling that her chance had come. Not a moment later, the manager returned. “Tamara came to look for a friend. Her friend booked a room upstairs. It seems that Tamara just left the room.” Joanne’s eyes narrowed. “Give me a copy of the room key.” The manager answered, “Yes, miss.” … Margot had dozed off, feeling groggy. She felt someone move her body, causing her to blink her eyes open with difficulty. Then, she caught sight of a man grabbing her arm, looking as if he was about to lift her up! Margot felt her soul almost leave her body at that moment! “What are you doing?” She hurriedly sat up from the bed. Even though she had gotten a whiff of the scented leaves meant to sober her up, she still felt a little dizzy. The man did not expect her to wake so suddenly. After getting over his surprise, he said, “Someone else needs this room. I’m here to wake you and relocate you to another room.” “Bullshit!” Margot glared angrily at the man. “This is the first time I’ve ever heard of a club’s staff member barging into a guest’s room to wake them up! You’d better fess up right now! Who the hell are you? Why did you sneak into my room?” The man was getting frustrated. He took a few steps forward to reach Margot. Under Margot’s frightful gaze, the man took out a knife and hit her head with the butt of it, causing her to faint. He eyed Margot for a moment, then lifted her into his arms and stuffed her into the closet. Then, he set up a camera and aimed the lens at the bed. After that, he lay on it. When Tamara returned, the room’s lights were off. She frowned. “Margot?” When she left, she did not switch off the lights. Could Margot have switched them off herself? Tamara placed her things on the table, then turned to walk into the bedroom. It was pitch-black inside. She reached out to turn on the lights and saw that “Margot” had wrapped herself up with the sheets from head to toe, concealing her entire being. This surprised Tamara. She patted her shoulder and said, “Come on, get up. You need to eat something. You can sleep after you’ve eaten.” At this moment, the sheets suddenly shifted. Then, a hand reached out to grab Tamara’s arm tightly. With a forceful tug, Tamara ended up falling onto the bed. Tamara had not anticipated this because she thought Margot was the person in bed! However, it was clear that the hand that grabbed her belonged to a man! The man flipped her over and pinned himself against her!
