Chapter 576 Stop Moving Around

“Oh? What are your symptoms? Are you experiencing shortness of breath? Are you feeling flustered?” Sebastian stared at Tamara’s delicate face that shone with amusement and nodded. “That’s right. I might be ill.” Tamara pulled her hand back. “What a coincidence. I know a really good doctor that specializes in the illness you seem to have contracted, Mr. Custry. It won’t be difficult to treat. A slice with a knife would do the trick.” Sebastian was rendered speechless. He didn’t want to think about where the knife was going to be aimed. Tamara’s beautiful lips curled into a meaningful smile. “So, do you want to get treated, Mr. Custry?” “No need for that.” Sebastian cleared his throat, then looked at Tamara with some resentment in his eyes. “Would you really want that for me?” Tamara nodded. “Why not? It’s not like I’m going to be the one who’s going to be cut. There’s no reason why I wouldn’t want that for you.” Sebastian’s expression froze. “Well, I can’t get treated for this illness of mine. I don’t want to negatively impact your future happiness.” Tamara fell silent. Her porcelain skin flushed red at that, and her eyes shone with anger as she glared at him. “Just get out!” Sebastian smiled. “Tammy, do you feel better now?” Tamara's expression was cold, yet her cheeks were still flushed bright red. Looking at her now, the cold glare made her look a little delicate. It was incredibly alluring. “It’s none of your business. Get out!” Sebastian’s eyes darkened as he swallowed sensually. “You want me to get out of your heart? No chance.” Tamara was rendered speechless. Why was this man so resilient? How could he utter such flirtatious words so seriously? Didn’t he feel shy at all? Tamara turned away and decided to ignore him, yet the blush on her face still remained. Sebastian chuckled lowly, then got up and left the ward. Once the man’s refreshing scent dissipated, Tamara let out a sigh of relief. Her long eyelashes fluttered, and her lips arranged into a pout. Sebastian was doing everything he could to get close to her, pursue her, and beg for her forgiveness. However, she couldn’t help but feel uneasy. She couldn’t get past the grudge she held in her heart against him. The man had dumped divorce papers on her just like that all those years ago. The four years after that were filled with pain. Before finding Caleb, she hadn’t been able to catch a wink of sleep. Even so, Sebastian had pretended to be another person just to get close to her and had even tried to pursue her in pretense. That was what made her the most furious. She couldn’t understand Sebastian’s reasoning behind it. Did the man just want to surprise her or something? However, four whole years had passed. The surprise he had in store for her wasn’t something she needed. To her, it had been a huge unwanted scare. Tamara shut her eyes and tried to stop thinking. At this moment, someone pushed her ward door open. Sebastian’s tall figure strolled in. Tamara spotted a doctor trailing behind him. Without waiting for her to speak, Sebastian ordered, “Give her a check-up.” Other than Tamara, Sebastian was forever cold and unfeeling toward outsiders. His entire aura seemed domineering, making everyone around him tense up. After the doctor asked Tamara about her circumstances and checked her eyeballs, he said, “After waking up, Miss Moore seems to have recovered. She can be discharged right away.” Sebastian nodded coldly. The doctor then hurried out of the ward. Sebastian walked over to the bed. Under Tamara’s curious gaze, he went ahead and lifted her into his arms. “Sebastian Lynch, what the hell are you doing? Let go of me! I can walk on my own!” Tamara raised her hands that were bunched into small fists and punched his shoulders. Her punches felt like light pokes to Sebastian. They did not make Sebastian feel threatened one bit. Instead, he ended up hugging her tighter. “Stop moving around. What if I end up dropping you?”
