Chapter 579 Balloons of Love
A wave of heat spread throughout his body all of a sudden. Sebastian swallowed sensually and shut his eyes, then downed his drink in one gulp.
He took out his phone to make a call. His deep voice sounded raspy as he said coldly, “Come out and have a drink with me.”
Joker’s Clubhouse.
Jeremiah was wearing a white shirt with his collar wide open. His fringe hung over his forehead, and his handsome features made him look charming. When he smirked, it made him look incredibly alluring.
Sebastian walked into the private room and saw that Jeremiah had started drinking already.
“Sebastian, why are you still up this late?” Jeremiah asked curiously. “I thought you were busy pursuing Tamara?”
Sebastian grabbed a bottle of wine and twisted the cap open. Then, he swallowed a few mouthfuls with dark eyes.
Jeremiah cocked an eyebrow. “Haven’t you made any progress?”
Sebastian’s grip on the bottle tightened. A short moment later, he turned toward Jeremiah. “How do you usually pick up women?”
It was true that he did not have much experience pursuing women.
When he had first gotten together with Tamara, they got married before falling in love with each other. After that, a series of events happened. Where would he have gotten the time to think about such frivolous pursuits?
After he caught wind of Tamara’s return, he started brainstorming ways to make things up to her. He wanted to give her a perfect proposal.
Before a proper proposal happened, he would first have to pursue her.
However, Tamara was unwilling to grant him any opportunities to get close. What on earth was he supposed to do so?
Jeremiah swirled his wine glass. “Women are really predictable. They like flowers, romance, and little surprises here and there.”
Sebastian stared deeply at the man. “Go on.”
With a wine glass in hand, Jeremiah took the seat opposite Sebastian and began to give him a lecture.
Jeremiah was a well-known womanizer. Even though he was still in college, he always had a different girl attached to his arm every night. As such, he had ample experience in the field.
Sebastian listened to Jeremiah’s teachings intently. When they were done, an entire night had passed.
…
The next morning, Tamara was shaken awake.
“What is it?”
She opened her eyes and saw that Melanie had grabbed her hand.
“Mommy, look!”
Melanie pointed at something outside the balcony.
Tamara sat up groggily and approached the balcony. She poked her head out, and her eyes widened at what she saw.
The sky above the Moore manor was filled with countless balloons. The colorful balloons formed a huge heart shape, which was quite a magnificent sight!
“Mommy, it’s so pretty!”
Melanie loved the display. She held Tamara’s hand and exclaimed.
Tamara’s lips twitched. Then, she glanced down at Melanie and asked, “Do you know who did this?”
“It’s Daddy!” Melanie said, then pointed at the gates.
Tamara looked out and spotted Sebastian’s tall frame lingering next to his branded car. Upon seeing Tamara, his gaze looked onto hers.
Tamara was rendered speechless.
This was so cheesy.
She retracted her gaze heartlessly and walked back inside to wash up and change before heading downstairs.
Downstairs, Cheryl and Old Mrs. Moore chatted about what was going on outside. When they saw Tamara, Cheryl smiled and asked, “Tammy, Mr. Custry’s method of pursuit is pretty interesting, don’t you think? Don’t you feel moved at all?”
Tamara’s lips twitched. “Aunt Cheryl, can you please stop joking around?”
Cheryl couldn’t contain her chuckle. “I have to say, Mr. Custry seems pretty sincere. I’m sure setting all that up wasn’t an easy feat.”
Tamara didn’t know how to respond.
Old Mrs. Moore patted Tamara’s hand and said, “Why don’t you talk to him about it? With so many balloons on the property, we’ll be in big trouble if they get caught on the electrical wires.”
Tamara got up right away and walked out the door.
