Chapter 580 Didn’t She Love Him Anymore?
Her face tensed up, and her clear eyes shone with both helplessness and amusement.
She honestly didn’t know what to say.
As Tamara approached, the gates swung open automatically.
Sebastian’s dark eyes were fixed on her delicate face. He asked in a deep voice, “Tammy, do you like it?”
Tamara clenched her fists. “Mr. Custry, get those balloons off the property! They’re blocking out the sun!”
Sebastian’s expression faltered. He looked up and stared at the balloons, which were indeed blocking out the sun. His well-trimmed brows furrowed, then he turned toward Jerome, who was behind him. “Get them down!”
Jerome, who had been grinning from ear to ear, suddenly trembled when he noticed the president’s solemn expression.
“Yes, sir. I’ll get someone to take them down right away.”
Sebastian turned back to Tamara, and the solemn expression on his face immediately dissipated. His lips curled into a small smile instead. “Tammy, let me take you out to lunch.”
“No thanks.”
After Tamara was certain that all the balloons were gone, she heaved a sigh of relief. After rejecting Sebastian with a cold face, she spun on her heel and left.
Sebastian was rendered speechless.
He watched as Tamara’s slender figure walked farther and farther away from him. After she got inside the villa, he let out a heavy sigh.
Did she not like balloons?
…
When she got back inside, she could feel everyone watching her with smiling eyes. She wanted to dig a hole and bury herself in it.
“Mommy, I need to head back with Daddy now.”
Caleb, who had been stuck to Old Mrs. Moore’s side the entire time, suddenly walked over and said.
Tamara was taken aback. “Leaving so soon?”
Caleb nodded. “I still have a lot of homework to do. I can put it off for a day, but I can’t take too many days off.”
Tamara furrowed her beautiful brows, feeling upset on behalf of her child. Caleb was only four, after all. Why did he have to study so much?
However, Caleb was under Sebastian’s care, after all. The man must have his reasons for doing this to Caleb.
Tamara couldn’t help herself from feeling sorry for her baby. Even so, she didn’t show it.
She didn’t want to be someone who picked fights.
“I’ll walk you out.”
Tamara held Caleb’s hand in hers.
Caleb turned back to bid farewell to everyone. “Goodbye, Grandma Moore, Uncle Jon, Aunt Cheryl, Thomas, Melly.”
He was speaking more and more fluently.
“Goodbye, Caleb!”
Tamara walked to the gates once more with Caleb in hand. Caleb looked up at her and said, “See you soon, Mommy.”
Tamara smiled. “Remember to practice speaking at home, got it?”
Caleb nodded. “Got it.”
Then, he walked over to Sebastian with an obedient look on his face.
Sebastian first glanced at his son, then turned toward Tamara. Just as he was about to say something, the woman spun on her heel and walked away.
She did not even give him a single chance.
Sebastian couldn’t help but knead the space between his eyebrows.
“Daddy, I don’t think Mommy likes you anymore,” Caleb said in a small voice, his dark obsidian eyes seemingly twinkling.
Sebastian swept his gaze over him. “For that, your language class will be an extra hour long today!”
Caleb remained silent after that.
He hated language classes the most!
Sebastian did not bother with Caleb’s sulking. He got into his car, then cast another look at the Moore manor. His eyes seemed laced with heartbreak.
Did she not love him anymore?
No matter. Sebastian was determined to get her to fancy him back eventually.
…
Once Tamara got back, Jonathan asked, “I’ve Anthony locked up. What do you want to do with him?”
Hearing that, Tamara’s expression went cold. “Uncle Jon, I don’t want him in my sight.”
Jonathan nodded. He understood how Tamara was feeling and said, “Understood. I’ll do as I see fit.”
Tamara lowered her gaze, her eyelashes fluttering as she did.
Jonathan got up and left the villa. He headed straight to the room in which Anthony was held captive.
