Chapter 588 A Little Kiss

The sky was a muted blue. The sun was setting, and the breeze was not particularly cold. Even so, it managed to mess up Tamara’s hair. She reached up to smooth her hair out. Her long eyelashes fluttered unconsciously. Sebastian’s tall figure approached her. He opened the passenger door and said, “Here, let me get that for you.” Tamara bit her lower lip gently. Only she and Sebastian remained at the racetrack’s entrance. She wanted to refuse but figured it wouldn’t be a good idea. Whatever. It was just a car ride, after all. It wouldn’t mean anything. Tamara regained her composure and got into the passenger seat. Sebastian found Tamara’s defiant expression amusing. He couldn’t help his lips from quirking upward. Then, he shut the door. Tamara’s body was stiff as she sat. She waited for him to get into the car but didn’t dare to meet his gaze. However, Sebastian didn’t start the car after settling into his seat. “President Custry, why haven’t you started driving?” Tamara couldn’t help but ask, then turned to glance at him. The man was gazing at her affectionately. It made her feel dizzy as if she would faint any second from his stare. Tamara hurriedly retracted her gaze. On the other hand, the crisp scent next to her was becoming stronger. The man ended up inches away from her and caged her with his body. Tamara looked up at him. “What the hell are you doing?” He had leaned over so suddenly and so close as well! Tamara’s clear eyes shone with wariness. She looked like a deer in headlights. It was super adorable. He reached for her seatbelt. “I’m getting the seatbelt for you. Why do you look so nervous?” He chuckled lowly, then buckled her up. Tamara’s eyelashes fluttered. The wariness in her eyes dissipated slightly. “I can do it myself,” she said softly. “Tammy, how are you so adorable?” Sebastian said, then couldn’t help himself from planting a kiss on her cheek. Tamara’s eyes widened in an instant. She felt like a coiled spring and nearly jumped out of her skin. However, she could only do her best to lean away from the man since she was buckled down. “Sebastian Lynch, you scoundrel!” The handsome man before her had transformed into a scoundrel before her eyes. Sebastian really was a shameless bastard. Sebastian was taken aback. When he noticed how shocked Tamara looked, he said, “Tammy, you purposely stopped yourself from winning when we were racing just now. Don’t you think I know what you meant by that? Was I mistaken?” Tamara’s eyes glimmered when she heard that. “What? I didn’t stop on purpose! I just lost control of the horse for a moment! Why would I wait for you?” Sebastian smiled, then placed a hand on the steering wheel. His handsome face lit up with glee. “But I honestly think that you waited for me on purpose. Tammy, you’ve indirectly given me consent to date you.” “I didn’t!” Tamara refused right away, but she had refuted too quickly, so she sounded more flustered than anything. It honestly sounded like she was just being coy. Sebastian started his expensive car. “Sit tight. I’m going to send you home now.” Tamara was on the verge of exiting the vehicle. She couldn’t get out because she was already strapped in. Along the way, she did not spare a single look at Sebastian. She couldn’t help feeling exasperated by the man’s presence, yet her face remained flushed. It looked like she was sporting a fever. She rolled down the window and felt the gentle breeze caress her face. It helped her calm down. The roads were getting more familiar by the minute. Tamara blinked her eyes and let out a sigh of relief. She was almost home. Once she arrived, she decided that she would run out of the car. She wasn’t going to let the man take advantage of her any longer! “Tammy, look.” At this moment, Sebastian’s deep voice rang out. Tamara turned toward him subconsciously and saw fireworks a short distance away. The car was slowing to a stop as well. The fireworks had a lively appearance. More fireworks exploded as the car came to a halt. Colorful lights illuminated the sky. It was stunning. A word could be made out among the countless fireworks in the sky.
