Chapter 587 Impetuous Heart
“It appears that you’re fine. Right, I’ll be off then.”
Tamara turned around and sprinted away.
Sebastian watched her receding figure with a growing grin on his face. He looked up at the blue sky and felt a well of emotions stir inside him.
When Margot saw the blush on Tamara’s face, she asked, “Tammy, are you alright?”
Tamara nodded. “I’m fine. I’m going to change.”
Margot nodded. “Alright. God, that was a close call! Thank goodness for him! Otherwise, who knows what would’ve happened to you.”
Upon hearing that, Tamara quickened her footsteps.
After changing back into her clothes, Tamara saw that Margot was chatting with Randy.
“Margot, I need to head home now,” she said to Margot.
Randy spoke first. “Miss Moore, it’s still so early. Why do you need to get home so soon? There’s a hotel and restaurant here. Why don’t you eat something before leaving?”
Tamara wanted to refuse.
Margot walked over and asked, “You didn’t get to eat much just now. Why don’t we get something to eat before leaving?”
Tamara furrowed her beautiful brows. Thinking that Sebastian might still be lingering around, she began to hesitate. “I…”
Margot grinned at her. “Didn’t we agree that you would stop hiding from him?”
Tamara was rendered silent.
Was it too late to regret her decision?
After clearing her throat awkwardly, Tamara’s eyes glimmered as she said, “Well…alright.”
“Okay. Let’s head inside,” Margot said eagerly, then walked inside with Tamara.
They sat down in their respective seats after entering the private room.
Tamara and Margot took the seats in the far corner. A waiter arrived and handed them the menu.
Randy passed the menu to them. “Here, order anything you guys want.”
Margot obliged happily. She ordered a few sides she and Tamara liked, then returned the menu to the waiter.
At this moment, the door to the private room suddenly opened. Sebastian’s tall figure strolled inside.
Tamara looked at him wordlessly.
Margot grinned at the man, then said, “I’ll go get us something to drink.”
After that, she got up. Margot was clearly giving Sebastian express permission to take her seat next to Tamara.
Tamara was rendered speechless.
She felt betrayed.
Sebastian walked over and took the seat next to her accordingly. When he spotted the red blush on her cheeks, he asked in a low voice, “What’s wrong? Are you feeling ill?”
“No,” Tamara answered, clearing her throat.
Being this close, Tamara could catch whiffs of the man’s crisp scent. It caused her to tense up unconsciously.
Furthermore, she felt out of sorts after what had happened at the race track.
When she noticed that Sebastian had purposely slowed down, she didn’t know why, but her instinct was to rein her horse back and come to a complete stop.
He noticed it straight away and even asked her about it.
The more Tamara thought about what happened, the redder she grew. Her eyes still twinkled, and she couldn’t find it in herself to look Sebastian in the eye.
She felt guilty.
Sebastian chuckled lowly and did not say anything more. There were outsiders around, after all. He knew it wasn’t the time to take the conversation any deeper.
Margot returned quickly. She took the seat across from Tamara and passed her her favorite drink.
After taking a few sips, Tamara felt herself grow less flustered.
However, she did not enjoy the meal at all. Time and time again, she would come under the fire of a burning gaze, losing the desire to savor the food set before her.
Tamara rushed to leave after the meal.
Margot took out her car key at the racetrack’s entrance. “Do you want to drive yourself back?”
“Alright…” Tamara was about to take the key when a Maybach suddenly drove up to them with its headlights on.
Sebastian got out of it and said, “Let me drive you home.”
“No…” Tamara rejected him right away.
However, Margot had put away her car key by then. “Since you’ve been offered a ride, I’ll head back home later by myself. Young Mr. Lynch, I trust that you’ll take good care of Tammy.”
With that, she ran off in a hurry.
Tamara was rendered silent.
She was betrayed again.
