Chapter 591 A Headache
The maid said, “They are Mr. Gladwell and Mr. Lynch.”
Tamara was rendered speechless.
It was James and Sebastian.
Were they going mad or something?
Why would they seek her out at the same time?
Tamara’s hair was still as messy as a bird’s nest. She replied a moment later, “Tell them I’m not here.”
The maid looked a bit embarrassed. “I told them that you were still asleep…”
Tamara didn’t know what else to say.
She cast a flat look at the maid, then said in an exasperated tone, “Alright, fine. You can leave now.”
The maid nodded.
Tamara washed up and changed her clothes. She finished getting ready and realized an hour had gone by.
She looked at the two men before her at the entrance and asked in a helpless tone, “What are you two doing here?”
James spoke first. “I wanted to invite you to my studio for a visit. I’ve made a bunch of stylistic changes since the last time. I think you’ll like it.”
Sebastian glared at him coldly. “Well, you’re probably wrong.”
James remained silent.
Tamara turned toward Sebastian. “What about you?”
Sebastian met her gaze, and his eyes filled with warmth. “Well, Caleb’s practicing horseback riding today. Since you’re pretty good at it, I wondered if you’d like to give him some pointers and encouragement.”
Tamara looked taken aback. “Caleb’s only four years old, yet you’ve already gotten him started on horseback riding? Aren’t you worried that he’ll get hurt?”
Her beautiful brow furrowed as if she disagreed with Sebastian’s school of thought.
Sebastian regarded her warmly. “Four isn’t that young. I was already fluent in six foreign languages when I was his age. He’s only fluent in four now.”
Tamara was rendered speechless.
Her expression darkened. “I want to see Caleb.”
Sebastian smirked. “Alright. I’ll bring you to him.”
Tamara’s clear eyes did not show a hint of warmth. “No, I want you to bring him to me.”
James interjected, “I think you’re right. At the age of four, children should be enjoying their childhood and freedom. He shouldn’t be burdened with so much homework at such a young age. You’ll be sorry you did this to him when he’s older.”
Tamara eyed James for a moment but remained silent otherwise.
Sebastian’s expression darkened. He did not spare James a second look. He turned toward Tamara instead. “Tammy, Caleb’s not available now. Why don’t I bring him here later tonight?”
Tamara pursed her lips. “Fine. You’d better keep your word.”
“Of course.”
Sebastian nodded, then got into his car and drove away.
Tamara turned toward James. “Sorry, I won’t be able to drop by your studio today. Melly and Thomas are home today. I want to spend more time with them.”
Disappointment flashed in James’ eyes. “That’s alright. Another time, then?”
“See you.”
After watching James leave, Tamara let out a huge sigh of relief.
James and Sebastian’s sudden appearance was a massive headache.
Tamara went back inside the villa and waited for Caleb to arrive.
However, when evening came, she found Caleb was still nowhere in sight. She took out her phone to send Caleb a text.
At this moment, her phone rang. It was a call from an unknown number.
Thinking that the caller must be Sebastian, she answered, “Hello?”
“Tammy, I’m sorry. I’ve been called to attend to some urgent business abroad. I won’t be able to send Caleb to you today.” Sebastian’s voice came through, tone apologetic.
Tamara’s beautiful brows furrowed. “Sebastian Lynch, are you for real?”
“Sorry, Tammy. I’ve already left the country.” Sebastian’s voice was filled with adoration as he spoke. “I’ll bring Caleb to visit you once I get back. Is that okay?”
“No need for that. I’ll go look for him myself,” Tamara said, then moved to hang up the call.
However…
