Impressed
When Kayden Diego became the new Alpha, he decided to punish Joe Bidder by making him a rogue. He was to be forcefully banished from the Middleton pack and must remain a lone wolf for the rest of his life.
His co-conspirators were killed but Joe Bidder's punishment was lighter because his daughter Jane Bidder was the Alpha's mate.
But Jane Bidder was furious and challenged the Alpha to why he would banish her father. Her father had done wrong and had suffered many months of imprisonment. The time he had spent in prison should be enough to atone for his sins.
To threaten Kayden Diego, Joe Bidder declared that if he is banished, he would leave with his daughter who apparently was Kayden Diego's mate.
Kayden Diego was not doing what he did because of himself, but for his own people, his pack members. First, to instill discipline and the fear of banishment and secondly, to make them realize the implication of not being loyal to their Alpha.
He couldn't have possibly killed Joe Bidder's co-conspirators and then let Joe Bidder continue living as a free man. That will be tantamount to being partial and make others have this feeling that some persons were above the law.
But Kayden Diego didn't budge. He was not going to spare Joe Bidder and was not willing to be partial. Partiality is not a trait of good leadership and would not soil his image of self integrity as the new Alpha. Joe Bidder and his daughter can choose to do whatever they like.
On the day Joe Bidder was to be expelled out of their territory, Kayden Diego sat on his throne with his gaze as sharp as that of a lion who was scanning its prey.
"I Kayden Diego, the Alpha of the Middleton pack hereby banish you Joe Bidder from its territory forever. If ever you are found roaming around its boundary, you shall be met with your death!" He declared with the authority of a supreme one.
His full red eyes were sparkling like a volcano that is capable of destroying anything. His frightened aura can make anyone shiver in fear.
As soon as he finished speaking, some bodyguards came forward to see him off their territory. But to everyone's utmost surprise, Jane Bidder came forward and stood arrogantly before the Alpha " Since you choose to banish my father I have no other option left than to do these : I Jane Bidder reject you as my mate!".
All the other pack members panic at her words, does she want the Alpha to die or to be severely pained? It's dangerous to be rejected by one's mate.
Kayden squinted, Jane had indeed carried out her threat to the full without putting his feelings into consideration. He was admired by many both from the werewolf's pack and from the human world but the moon goddess had only chosen Jane as his mate and he had to accept her despite his dislike for women.
If she is the cheese her father intends to use to trap him at a point weakest to any werewolf, then they are really mistaken about his kind of personality. He was never going to yield an inch.
" I Kayden Diego accept your rejection" He declared without batting an eyelid. And immediately, his mark on her neck gradually began fading away.
That was over a hundred years ago, he didn't care a bit about what later happened to Jane. Perhaps she survived like him or the worst, he's not concerned about that. He had since then stayed free from the female species and really avoided them like a plague until he found himself rescuing this human.
Soon Lily dressed up and came downstairs. She was captivated as soon as she stepped into the sitting room. The large sitting room was looking more like a palace: more beautifully decorated than the room she just stepped out from.
The exquisite cushions, the beautiful coloured light emanating from the chandelier gave the room an attractive look. The marble floor was made of precious stones leaving a feeling of being in a Paradise.
Lily was looking at the various wallpaper. They were all very beautiful and attractive that she really doesn't know or say which is more beautiful and alluring.
When Kayden Diego glanced and saw the fellow he was waiting for was completely captivated, lost in her admiration of wallpapers he chuckled quietly and coughed slightly.
That cough brought Lily back to her senses, and realized someone was actually waiting for her. She shyly took a seat opposite the man and bowed her head.
Kayden Diego sat with his legs crossed leisurely reading or perhaps perusing a business magazine.
Lily stole a glance at the man sitting in front of her and then he also accidentally glanced at her direction and their eyes locked:
At the moment their eyes locked, a warm sensation flooded his heart. Why was he having this feeling? he asked himself quietly. He stared at the woman in front of him. She looked delicate and fragile.
Her pale white skin was glittering. It looked fresh like a baby's. It gave him this impression that the woman would definitely have come from a high class family.
She has a small oval face with a smooth tapered jaw. Her lips were plumb. Her gray almond eyes were attractive. Her hair was thick and long that reached a little before her waist.
When Kayden Diego saw her features, he couldn't help but secretly acknowledge the fact that she's really a beauty to behold.
He hadn't taken a fancy to the female species, not even when Jane Bidder was still his mate.
Lily felt very uncomfortable when her eyes and Kayden Diego's met. She felt like she'd known him before. But the way he looked at her from her head to her toes, it seemed like he was scrutinizing her and she's uncomfortable with it.
"My name is Kayden Diego and I am a 3000 years old werewolf Lord..."he trailed off when he saw she was looking frightened. She raised her head and stared at him with panic in her eyes.
Was she afraid of him already? "What now, are you scared of me?" Kayden Diego asked. Lily shook her head to imply she's not scared of him but her eyes betrayed her claim. The look on those eyes obviously gave her away as been afraid of the werewolf Lord.
Since she claimed not to be scared, he would continue saying what he was saying before he trailed off " Anyways, I found you at the verge of death and rescued you. You lost too much blood and I had to give you my own blood if you were to survive. Typically speaking, my blood was transfused into you to save you and that blood is a werewolf blood.
In other words, you have become partly human and partly a werewolf. And since you now have the werewolf blood running through your vein, you are likely to turn into a werewolf on a full moon.
Being a human, you can eat normal food like other humans as well but don't be surprised when you start craving for meat and dietary food. That would be normal for the werewolf part of you." Kayden Diego explained the important details to her. She's yet to understand her new personality and since he made her a werewolf, he had to take his time to explain some basics.
"You had a bullet injury in the heart when you were shot twice but I healed you with my Powers" Kayden Diego added.
But to his utmost surprise, the woman seated in front of him clutched herself together like in a hug and was asking herself a question whether he had indeed seen her body?
Kayden Diego squinted, he could hear her thoughts. Humans can be senseless at times. He just told her he saved her and cured her bullet injury and the last thing she could think about was if he saw her body.
"I am not interested in your body. The only thing that would have appealed to me about you would have been me, tearing and devouring your flesh" Kayden Diego replied her thoughts with an attitude of irritation.
Lily snapped her head up and stared at him. How did he know what she was thinking? This werewolf Lord or whatever he called himself must have been a mind reader. When her eyes met his again, she felt an indescribable feeling and quickly averted her eyes.
And still Kayden Diego still heard her thoughts. He smiled faintly before assuming his expressionless face again. He rarely smiles and when he does, it's when he's with those he's intimate with and it's usually very brief.
This woman called him a mind reader. She can't understand yet that he had the ability to read her thoughts. She's having his blood and can easily understand her feelings and thoughts just like she can also understand him when she trains her mind.
No human or werewolf can understand him as much as she can when her mind becomes trained. She's an integral part of him and their lives have become interwoven. He doesn't know why he did so much for a total stranger but felt excited doing it.
He hoped in the near future, she would be able to telepathically communicate with him. "Tell me who you are and why would someone want you dead?"
Kayden Diego's question made Lily shiver.
"Who is she?" She asked herself the same question. She squinted, blinked several times but couldn't recall a thing about herself. The only thing she remembers was the dream she woke up from.
And why would anyone want her dead?
"I am Lily, I guess," She replied.
Kayden already heard her confused mind. She had definitely lost her memory. This will really be difficult for her to accept.
"If you're not sure, how did you know you are Lily?" Kayden Diego asked.
"I remembered that someone called me Lily (she blinked her eyes several times to see if she could remember who that person was but couldn't) before it seemed like I fell off a cliff or something" She replied with a worried expression.
It's so pathetic that a grown woman like her couldn't remember a thing about herself.
Kayden Diego's brow raised slightly, this woman had indeed fallen off a cliff. She can't remember anything else besides the falling?
"You really can't remember anything else?" Kayden Diego asked but it was more of a statement than a question. He could already guess she might be suffering from amnesia.
