Chapter 60
I needed no soothsayer to tell me what had happened after hearing the sadness in her voice. The worst had happened.
"I'm coming over." I said to her before ending the call.
I stood up immediately ans grabbed my purse before scurrying out of the office. When Antonia caught sight of me leaving, she stood up and was about to ask when;
"Push all of my schedules for today to tomorrow." I said to her.
She didn't ask the questions she wanted to again. She had probably heard the urgency in my tone. She just nodded and;
"I'll see you tomorrow Ma'am." She bowed. I nodded and walked out of her sight.
I was escorted out of the building and towards the parking lot by Hector. He opened the back door for me and I got in. Before he started the car, I pressed in my destination on the GPS since he doesn't know Jenny's residence.
After, I let him drive off. All through the ride, I was restless. I couldn't suppress the nagging feeling within me that was telling me it was all my fault.
