VALENTINA
The alarm bells rang through the packhouse like knives scraping bone.
Boots thundered across the hallways. Wolves barked, howled, snarled. The faint rhythm of war drums and their heartbeats. My heart pounded with them, but not from fear. No. From the fury still burning in my chest.
The rogues had come. For me.
The warning still echoed in my head: “They said they could smell the power of the Gemini Moon.”

I pushed to my feet, swaying slightly. My legs were still weak from the Hollow’s bite, from the storm of my wolves. But my body wasn’t broken. My spirit wasn’t broken.
