|| Lilac’s Perspective ||
The Alpha King moved fast. The morning after the disastrous event, he called for an emergency council meeting to discuss Kael’s candidacy. Dad and I got ready early, the weight of the situation heavy on our shoulders. I didn’t know what game the royal family was playing, but I knew I had to be there in case my father needed me.
As we walked into the council room, the whispers began almost immediately. The room was filled with alphas and lunas, their expressions a mix of curiosity and apprehension. The tension was palpable, the air thick with unspoken questions.
The Alpha King and Luna Cassandra arrived shortly after, their presence commanding the room. Kael was noticeably absent, and that made me uneasy. Something was wrong. Something didn’t sit right.
“Thank you all for gathering here on such short notice,” the Alpha King began, his voice calm but firm. “We are here today to discuss Kael Reventhorn’s candidacy for the upcoming Alpha King election.”
