Leslie kept calling and calling Broderick's phone like her life depended on it, but no one picked up. Not even once.
Did that girl seriously think just because she had Broderick backing her now, she could do whatever she wanted?
Please-Broderick only saw her as a pastime. And she really thought she could be Mrs. Ackerley? Dream on.
And the stuff Leslie said earlier-was Broderick listening nearby? Honestly, she was way out of line.

They'd been drilling it into Leslie's head non-stop: Broderick's dangerous, he's out of his mind-just to make her scared, hesitant, and unwilling to be part of the Ackerley family. But in the end, she still had no choice.
