Alfred hesitated slightly. "Shouldn't we tell Mr. Ackerley first?" "Broderick's busy right now. We can tell him later. Besides, I've got a driver with me-what could possibly go wrong?" Leslie sounded casual, but there was an unmistakable authority in her tone. Right in that moment, Leslie had a commanding presence. Alfred instinctively nodded and gave instructions. "Wayne, take good care of the young lady. Make sure nothing happens to her." Wayne gave a firm nod. He wasn't just a driver-he had been trained. As one of Broderick's bodyguards, he'd seen his fair share of gorgeous women. Still, when he saw Leslie, he was momentarily stunned. Damn, she's beautiful. He quickly snapped out of it and held the car door open for her. Leslie gave a polite thank you as she got in. Her posture was perfect, sitting up straight with her pale blue dress blooming around her like a flower. Wayne drove toward Windmere High School. They were only let in after the security guard confirmed their identities.
