Broderick pointed the camera at his food and gave it a few clicks, making it clear he wasn't bluffing.
"I'm not lying. Seriously, I wouldn't lie to you."
His words sounded almost like a vow.
Leslie felt a warmth bloom in her chest. Her eyes lit up, bright and sparkling like they held a sky full of stars.
"Okay then, Ricky, you're such a good boy. I'll give you candy when you get back," she teased.
Broderick gave a low chuckle. Was this girl treating him like a kid now?
Olivia watched the two of them being all sweet and affectionate, and somehow, her appetite kicked up a notch.
If she didn't keep herself busy eating, the sheer amount of PDA flying around would probably fill her up anyway.
"Bye, Leslie," Broderick said.
Leslie knew how he operated-mealtime was sacred, all about focus. He was like that with everything: his job, his life. He put his whole heart into whatever he did.
Just like how he'd loved her in their past life.
