When Miles Ackerley walked into the 7707 private room, he was hit by a wall of smoke. The place was packed—over a dozen men and women lounging around, puffing cigarettes. The air was thick, and honestly, kind of gross.
He instantly felt out of place.
Yeah, he wasn’t exactly a saint—he partied too—but never like this. At least he kept things relatively clean.
He was already thinking of making a quiet exit.
But Kevin Grant had already spotted him.
Kevin jumped up and warmly dragged him in.
“Hey, everyone, let me introduce you. This is the second young master of the Ackerley family, Broderick Ackerley’s little bro.”
Miles scanned the room—yep, except for Kevin, he didn’t know a single soul.
Kevin quickly made room beside him and poured him a drink. “C’mon, you look like something’s weighing you down. Drink it off, man. A few shots and your worries are history. Come on, let’s go.”
