Miles Ackerley's eyes widened the moment he saw who it was.
Eleanor Fairfax.
Seriously? This woman again?
Why the hell was she here too?
He shot Kevin Grant a sharp look, his face darkening. "Kevin, did you call her here?"
Kevin instantly put his hands up, looking baffled. "Man, I don’t even know who she is. Why would I bring her here?"
And honestly, Miles could never remember seeing Eleanor and Kevin interacting—not even once.
Eleanor stepped closer to Miles. “Don’t blame him. I followed you here. I saw your car at the light, so I tailed you. Even asked the front desk and security for the camera feed. That’s how I found this room.”
The second her hand rested on his shoulder, Miles shoved it away, clearly irritated.
“Eleanor, get a grip, will you? I don’t like you. You’re not my type!”
With that, he spun on his heel to leave.
But Eleanor darted after him immediately.
In the hallway, she suddenly threw her arms around his waist, like she’d gone all in on some desperate game.
