Third Person POV
Alpha Jose studied the man in silence, the faintest trace of amusement touching his lips. “Elena Grey,” he said slowly. “She’s your daughter, isn’t she?” His voice remained calm, almost bored. “So explain this to me, how does a man grow so much bitterness for his own flesh and blood?”
Mr. Grey’s breathing turned uneven. His hands trembled before one of them clenched into a fist and came crashing down on the arm of the couch. “That girl is no daughter of mine!” he barked. “Ungrateful, heartless thing. I fed her. I kept a roof over her head. And the moment she became of useful age, she vanished…dragged her grandmother along and disappeared into the city. Not once did she look back. Not once!”
Alpha Jose tilted his head slightly. “And you never tried to reach her afterward?”
