Chapter 79
Eric’s POV
The hallway felt colder than the grave. Not a single sound came from behind the operating room doors, yet the silence screamed at me louder than any howl.
My parents stood across from me, staring like they no longer recognized the son they raised. “You’ve completely lost it,” my father finally said, his voice shaking as he pointed at me. “Destroying your own blood for some woman? No. We won’t stand for this.”
I slowly lifted my head. “Then stand against me,” I replied quietly. “Let’s see how far that gets you.” The moment the words left my mouth, my control snapped. Darkness flooded my vision. My wolf surged forward, and my Alpha power exploded outward like a storm breaking loose. The air thickened. The walls seemed to tremble.
Bella screamed. She grabbed her chest and collapsed, crying as if something inside her was being ripped apart. I felt it instantly; the bond between her and the pack tearing away. Exile. Only one Alpha could do that. Me.
“No…no… Eric, stop!” she sobbe
