Seeing that Edith was about to roll her eyes, Murphy slowly let go.
He took a handkerchief out of his pocket and a bottle of alcohol from the car, sprayed it on his hands, and wiped them clean.
“How does suffocation feel? Cornelia suffers a thousand times more than you do when she has an allergic reaction.”
“Remember, for the next month, keep a tight grip on Parker and don’t let go. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee when your secrets will be exposed!”
Edith’s body went limp, and she nodded wildly, afraid that Murphy, this madman might do something else he shouldn’t.
Her eyes were still unfocused, clearly still reeling from what had just happened.
When Edith returned home, her limbs were still weak, and for a moment she didn’t notice Parker standing at the door, startling her.
“Ah! What are you doing here?”
She hurriedly patted her chest, momentarily forgetting to maintain her gentle tone.
