Evelyn's expression turned ugly.
The emerald necklace was dazzling. Each stone was exquisitely cut, looking crystal clear and flawless. It was a very nice necklace, and Emily loved it. However, she noticed Evelyn's low mood and, without making a big show about it, instructed Wilmot to put it away.
