Chapter 3 Should We Live Together?

Timothy nodded. "Come with me. Since you've married me, you should live with me." After a brief pondering, Lillian nodded. She probably wouldn't be able to return to her home. Thinking of her mother's attitude towards her, Lillian couldn't help feeling lonely. Timothy had always been very sensitive. He had noticed the changes in the emotions of Lillian, but he didn't ask, as it had nothing to do with him. Timothy took Lillian to an ordinary community. He just ordered someone to buy an apartment here this afternoon. "The password is 159357." Timothy told Lillian about the entrance password, and Lillian nodded. After entering, Lillian found that the apartment was quite large, but it seemed to be a little empty. There was only one sofa, a table and some chairs in the living room, and nothing else. "You live in this room. The bedding and pillow are all clean. They are on the bed." "Okay, thank you." Lillian's gaze was pulled back. It was getting late, and she wanted to wash up, only to find that she did not bring any clothes. At this time, the shops were already closed. Perhaps seeing Lillian's embarrassment, Timothy asked, "What's wrong?" "I didn't bring any clothes." "I asked my ... friend to bring you a set of clothes. He lives not far away and runs a clothing store. Tell me the size." "It's okay. I am fine. It's too troublesome in the middle of the night." Lillian felt a little embarrassed. Maybe the friend had already gone to bed at this time. Timothy lowered his head and tapped a few times on his phone, as if he was texting someone. Half a minute later, Timothy said, "He's not asleep. He's already on his way here. It's not far." Hearing this, Lillian had to thank him. After all, she was Timothy's wife. It was not his style to leave her alone and be irresponsible. When he found her real purpose, he would drive her out and divorce her. Then it would be normal for him to leave her alone. After the clothes were delivered, Lillian thanked him, "Mr. Gagner, how much is it? I will transfer money to you." "No need." Lillian felt a little sorry for getting new clothes for no reason. She still wanted to say something, but seeing the tired look on Timothy's face, she had to change her words and said, "Thank you. If you need anything in the future, please tell me." She was married to him now, and they would live together in the future. If he didn't want her money, she would make it up to him in other aspects. There were two bathrooms. After Lillian simply washed up, the door of the other bathroom was also opened. Timothy walked out with his bare arms. When their eyes met, Lillian's face turned red immediately! This was the first time she had looked directly at a man's upper body! Especially the red beans on his chest, which were particularly obvious! Timothy frowned and cursed in his heart. He had gotten used to it and forgot that there was a woman at home. However, Timothy had always cared about his reputation. On the surface, he looked calm as he walked toward his room, but in fact, he was in a hurry. Lillian breathed a sigh of relief and returned to her room. After setting the bed, she lay on the bed and suddenly couldn't fall asleep. Her thoughts were a little messy. She thought of her native family and herself. She didn't expect that she would get married to a stranger in a flash. But it was getting late. She had to go to bed. She was the manager of a small convenience store, which was located below a building called the Gagner Group. Its business was usually not bad and it earned about 15,000 dollars a month. Every week she had a break of two days, and tomorrow was a new week. It was time to go to work. Early the next morning, the alarm rang and Lillian woke up on time. The convenience store opened at eight o'clock every morning. It was now seven o'clock. After a simple wash up, Lillian saw that the door of the other room was still closed, so she didn't go to disturb Timothy. She left him a note and went out of the apartment. People like him who worked in enterprises might go to work late. Lillian rode a bike to the convenience store. Although the convenience store was not big, it had many things. Furthermore, the location was good. Many employees of the Gagner Group would come down to buy some things during their break. When Lillian arrived at the entrance, she saw a girl standing there. "Excuse me, are you Sissi?" Lillian stepped forward and asked politely. The girl was wearing light yellow clothes, with two braids and a sun hat on her head, and a young smile on her face. When she saw Lillian, her eyes lit up, "Are you the manager?" "Yes." Lillian nodded and stepped forward to open the door of the convenience store. There was a store manager and a shop assistant in each convenience store. Some time ago, the shop assistant resigned and Sissi was recruited through Lillian's online interview. Sissi had the experience of being a convenience store assistant. After Lillian opened the door and briefly introduced the job to her, she skillfully sorted out the things on the shelf. After checking the bill, Lillian took a piece of bread and a bottle of milk from the shelf and asked, "Have you had breakfast?" Sissi opened said, "Yes. Do you eat this every morning? It's not nutritious! I have an extra boiled egg here. You can have it." Sissi opened her small bag, took out the egg and handed it to Lillian. Lillian couldn't refuse, so she had to take it. The convenience store got off work late, and it was almost 12 o'clock when Lillian went back home. In order to keep enough sleep, she always ate breakfast in the store with a piece of bread and a bottle of milk. "Lillian, you must have a good breakfast. Do you know what the rich eat for breakfast?" Sissi pointed above her head. That was where the Gagner Group was. "I have a cousin working in the Gagner Group. I heard that their boss eats muesli imported from Switzerland for breakfast! And it was delivered by air that very same day! His breakfast is equivalent to an ordinary person's monthly living expenses!"
