Three months later, I was in a church in Reesily, straightening my wedding dress that had roses intricately embroidered on it.
Alas, I'd sold myself off just like that.
Fate really was such a wondrous thing.
It turned out that I'd been tangled up with the same person all along.
Lucio had been restless over the past few months and had repeatedly attempted to court me like an ordinary person, even while recovering from his injury.
After a lot of coaxing and wheedling, I agreed to marry him.
The door opened, and Sofia poked her head inside.
"Are you nervous?" she asked, walking into the room.
"A little," I replied honestly.
She helped me straighten my veil.
"Listen up," she said seriously. "The mafia world is complicated, but Lucio looks at you very affectionately."
She clapped me on the shoulder. "So, treasure him!"
"Fuck off," I told her with a blush.
