My chest tightened in pain. I knew what he was talking about. In that moment it took every ounce of my strength to not burst into tears and cry on his shoulder to tell him what had happen and who I have become because of everything that occurred. I felt like an inferno was blazing under my skin consuming my strength to resist the urge. I just wanted to be in the arms of one of my dear friends and pretend nothing ever happen even if it is for a moment but I couldn’t it was a risk I could not take. I cried out through the link to Master, “Help me!” and instant later comfort came as I stood staring at the face of my mate’s brother, Antonio. He was one of my three friends I had from a different lifetime ago. Back there it was the four of us who were friends and supported each other, Danny, Rosaline and Antonio. I have missed them they were my rocks through it all. Just like Ivan, Axel and Miri have become.
