Chapter twenty-seven:
TALON’s POV
I was right, the soldiers of the Shadow moon pack couldn't have just disappeared without anyone in the pack knowing. Dimitri had fished some men, whom he considered suspicious. And here I stood, in front of the first man’s house, whom Dimitri had fished out.
On a normal day, this was something I would have left for Charles to handle, if he were here. Not that Dimitri wasn't competent, I just seemed to have a lot of free time. Breaking a few bones with the time, doesn't sound bad.
“You can try all you want, Talon. You’ll never find the soldiers.” The man with rimmed glasses, and crooked brown teeth smiled, with an evil glint in his eyes.
I chuckled dryly at his words. The last time I visited the pack to declare war, he was one of those who literally bowed at my feet in tears. One would think that he was bowing and pleading so that the war wouldn't happen. But in actual sense, he was actually pleading for his life to be spared, and for me to take him into my pack.
