Chapter forty-nine:

TALON’s POV The two days in which Rosette had to spend with Dimitri were over, and we were headed back. Rosette found it hard to control her emotions as we left. I could tell she was already feeling something for Dimitri, my judgement earlier was wrong then. Them being together was something that was close to impossible. I wasn't ready to let go of one of my best men as a matter of fact, Charles gone was already enough. I didn't want to lose one more again. It was hard to find loyal and trust worthy men, who weren't plotting something against me or were after my power. Even with Charles betrayal, if I were to pick between him and a new beta, I would pick him over and over again. Setting his escape aside, he was loyal to the core and a formidable training opponent who could match my pace in a physical combat. As for gamma Raphael, I was yet to uncover what happened to him. Some said he was dead, but his body was never found. Others said he escaped, but there was no reason for him to do
