Chapter sixty-two:
AMELIA’s POV
I hurriedly wiped my tears, mustering a smile. He had caught us, I had to think of something to say as he wouldn't believe it if I told him I wasn't crying.
“What's going on?” He asked, his voice laced with concern as he walked towards us.
Miss Brown was in a much better position, as she had been holding in her tears.
“Amelia, Are you hurt?” He pressed.
“No, uh, it just…I hit my head hard while painting with Miss Brown.” I smiled.
He looked at me suspiciously, before looking at the drawing materials at a corner and the suspicious look dropped a bit.
“Where?” He asked as he gently grab my head, giving it a slight massage.
“The pain is gone now, Miss Brown has already taken care of it. Those tears you saw were dried ones.” I said in a convincing tone.
“Why do I feel there is something you both are hiding?” He squinted his eyes, “I’m joking.” He laughed.
“It’s just that it's a rare sight to see Miss Brown with anyone not after…” He trailed, an uncertain emotion flickering in
