Chapter 10 It Looks Like I Came at a Bad Time
Liora's POV
"If another woman wants to carry his pup, then I'll gladly divorce Ethan," I said with a shrug, as if I couldn't care less.
However, Ethan went rigid with anger. He yanked my hand and dragged me out of the hall.
"Are you out of your mind? Do you want everyone to know we're fighting?"
We were just fighting?
I shook his hand off my wrist. "I was just telling the truth."
His face darkened, those light brown eyes cutting over me. "Is that so? Then maybe I should let your dad know."
"What do you mean by that?" I demanded, my voice shot up.
He threatened me again!
My dad, Jake Woolridge, was still in the clinic. He wasn't stable. The healer had warned us that any shock could be dangerous, that even a small spike in emotion could threaten his life.
My fists clenched as anger burned hot in my chest.
Lately, Ethan kept using my dad as leverage, boxing me in and pulling my strings like a puppet.
