During the second half of the gala, I didn't sit with Ethan as required. The thought alone made me feel sick.
I slipped into a quiet corner to hide. People whispered about me, but I pretended not to hear. Grace was just a pawn, and the real mastermind hadn't faced any consequences. Meanwhile, Isabella continued to socialize gracefully with the guests, like nothing had happened.
