Kieran's POV
In my office at Mooncrest Group, as Nathan was updating me on the project, my thoughts kept drifting back to Liora because of what she had said.
She was beautiful. I remembered the seriousness and helplessness in her gray-green eyes. She didn't blame me. She just turned me down.
Her words about us not being right for each other still echoed in my ears. I couldn't stop caring about them.
"Nathan." I cut him off and asked, "Do women all want to get married?"
Nathan looked at me in surprise. He went quiet for a moment before saying slowly, "I'm surprised you'd ask me that, Alpha Kieran. I thought you only cared about expanding territory and building your business."
