Sebastian didn't like Roxanne dancing, so she took up painting in college instead. And her talent in painting was just as astonishing—so much so that even her teachers took special notice of her.
Roxanne felt slightly guilty and replied hesitantly, "Ms. Quinn, I understand. I'll think about it carefully."
Alexis patted her shoulder affectionately. "This is your decision to make. I won't pressure you, but I do hope you give it serious thought."
Roxanne nodded obediently.
Alexis glanced at her own nephew, who was gazing at Roxanne with undeniable tenderness, then waved them off. "Alright. It's getting late, so I won't keep you for dinner.
"You two should head out. I still need to refine this painting and get it ready for tomorrow's competition. Don't hang around and distract me."
With that, Roxanne and Zachary took their leave.
By the time they left, it was already dinner hour.
Roxanne suddenly remembered how Zachary had helped bail her out of the police station the night before
