Chapter 3 Engaged
"We'll wait?" Louis asked, moved away from her a little distance and glared into her eyes.
"Yes Louis. We'll wait until Mrs Leah mom agrees and is ready to give us her blessings. I am willing to wait until mom loves me and lets me be her daughter in law again" Pamela explained.
"What about the prerequisites to be allowed into the royal family again? Have you thought about it?" Louis demanded, observing her facial expression.
Pamela stood up and went to stand before the mirror again. She looked herself in the mirror and assured herself that she would scale through this phase like others.
She had experienced difficult situations, she had jumped those bridges when she got to it. She would jump this one as well. It's part of her life's experience.
She had lost count of how many times she had found herself between the rock and a hard place. But she passed those hard times and here she is. She would pass this one too.
"What are you going to do to be allowed into the royal family again?" Louis asked, standing up to stand behind her,his hands in his pants pocket.
"I'll think about it before I arrive home" Pamela answered and Louis sighed softly. He nodded and said "you mean before 'we' arrive home?" Stressing the word "we" to denote the fact that they will be going together.
Pamela Grayson closed her eyes momentarily and opened them again smiling. He is a true friend.
She nodded and that settled it.
Louis Hayden drove Pamela to a jewellery shop. Pamela was wondering why Louis insisted that she accompany him to a jewellery shop.
It's not like she doesn't have enough jewellery to travel with. She kept quiet when Louis told her to stay still and just follow him.
When they arrived at the jewellery store, Louis told her to wait at the reception. He held her hand and ran his fingers around her fingers playfully and kissed her temple before disappearing into the jewellery collection section.
After a few minutes , Pamela was dazed to see Louis walking out, going on a kneel and opening a jewellery box. Inside it was a diamond ring, glittering and sparkling.
It was sudden and Pamela wasn't expecting it. She gasped and moved two steps backwards, her eyes welled up with tears and didn't know just how to react to this simple but memorable event.
A lot of people were staring at them, with a broad smile. That was when Pamela realised that it was sudden to her but the whole thing was not to Louis' friends and Romeo.
She looked and saw Lucas standing a few distance away. Romeo was holding a bouquet of flowers, and they all were happy, urging her to say yes.
"It is not the best method to do it, but the timing is short and you're the only woman I've ever loved. Please marry me,my love" Louis proposed.
Pamela's eyes went teary. She kept her gaze on Louis, and his short words registered in her mind. So the day is here, when Louis makes an open proposal to her. She wasn't expecting it, she only thought he was buying her new jewellery.
The first time someone proposed to her was a few years ago. Lucas Wright proposed to her in a garden. She was happy, he was the man she was head over heels for.
She jumped on him and kissed him before offering her finger. She remembered how she and Lucas were the happiest lovers in the world that day.
They talked about their dreams, her future and the kids they would have. Lucas told her they would be the best couple the world has ever recorded. But alas, that never happened.
"Just say yes"
"Oh! My days, say yes Hun"
"Yes, Pamela, say it" that was Lucas' voice. She raised her head briefly and glanced at him. She saw him smiling and nodding his head, urging her to say yes. But she saw beyond those smiles, Lucas' was hurting inside.
Was he feeling unhappy that Louis was proposing to her? Is he still in love with her secretly in his heart? Anyways, that's not the issue here, she's being proposed to.
"Yes, yes Louis.." Pamela chimed offering her finger to him as he slipped a ring through it. She remembered Lucas, slipping a ring through that same finger years ago.
Louis raised himself to full height and kissed her. The two lovers were kissing each other deeply and the little crowd that gathered were applauding them.
Louis pulled out of the kissing and lifted Pamela princessly and said "I've got a fiance now" and laughed.
It's sweet to see Louis Hayden laugh. He looks more charming when he laughs. As Louis' personality is, he attracts a crowd and that's the sole reason why he likes living a private life.
There were pictures of them being taken and a few journalists wanted to ask him questions but he held Pamela and walked away, waving at those he invited over and who willingly made it.
On his way to the office, Lucas was thinking. It happened so quickly. Now, Pamela is officially Louis Hayden's fiance. Every step of the way, Pamela and himself are getting drifted farther apart.
First, the mother of his kids. Then she later became his girlfriend. It hasn't been a few months yet and she's become his fiance.
It's just a matter of months or weeks rather and she would become his bride again and that would close the chapter of him and Pamela's love forever.
Lost love !
Lucas mumbled the two words and forced a smile. She's happy and he is lonely, living a loveless life.
Can there really be any woman out there that would really love him like Pamela used to? She's the only woman who had truly loved him.
One thing he's been able to learn after these whole experiences he's gathered is 'Never hurt a woman who truly loves you' but he hurt her and betrayed her.
Karma had visited him and he yearned to be loved just 20% of the way Pamela loves him. He yearns to be loved as much as he loves Pamela. Will that ever happen to him?
Pamela and Louis were in his private helicopter, heading to Middletown City with the kids. Pamela had insisted that they come along because they are also royalty.
Louis wanted to hold his fiance and kiss her all the way but he couldn't. The kids were watching and he kept his cool.
Dora was all the way on Louis' thighs. She loved her dad the most and he also loved his daughter.
The boys were busy with their games. Damian was showing excellent performance in computer and Louis was taken notice of it.
David and Daniel were rivals, trying to win over the other in the game. Louis suspected that Dora would be a great reader and decided he would get a few books, kiddies books and ask her to read and narrate the story to him later.
Meanwhile, Leah felt like puking blood after seeing the work of the paparazzi on social media.
How dare Louis defy her for another woman?
