The next morning. Charlotte got up early. It wasn't that she didn't want to sleep longer, but she had a meeting at the research institution today and needed to be there early. When she finished getting dressed and came downstairs, Amber was still fast asleep, and Rose hadn't finished preparing breakfast. Charlotte didn't rush her. She figured she'd just grab something on the way. But then, the doorbell rang. "Who could that be?" "Kayden?" Charlotte was stunned. "Why are you here? Did you run away from home again?" He beamed at her and quickly shook her head. "I didn't run away today.
