Charlotte let out a cold laugh.
"Do you really expect me to stay here and let you take advantage of me? Let me remind you, Brian, this is a lawful country. We're standing in a kindergarten, of all places. You'd better watch yourself. If I so much as raise my voice, those children outside will come running to see what's going on. You'll end up thoroughly humiliated."
Finishing her threat, she turned and reached for the door, fully intending to leave. But the handle refused to turn. Someone had locked the door from the outside.
