Brian had heard the ripping sound clearly. He had not expected the situation to turn out like this. Frowning, he asked, "Did the fabric tear? Where exactly? Are you hurt?" Charlotte didn't even let him finish. She snapped back at him, her voice sharp with anger. "My skirt. What else could it be? Why on earth were you pulling me like that?
